1. DPMS programs for the Amiga/EGS?
I have a Sony CPD-1730 monitor, and use it with an EGS Spectrum card. Are
there any DPMS "Screen blankers" out there? (DPMS stands for Display Power
Management Signaling and basically is a method whereby the monitor shuts it's
self down partially to conserve power)
From what I understand, if the verticle/horizontal sync goes away, the monitor
goes into a sort of "Standby" power-saving mode, reducing it's power
consumption by (in my case, about 20%).
It'd be nice if there was a tool out there which would let you set the normal
EGS screenblanker to kick in after x number of minutes, and for it to kill
sync after x more number of minutes. This way if you left your computer alone
for a bit, you'd get your normal blanker, and, if you totally forgot about it
and went away for say 15 minutes, the monitor would put it's self into the
power-saving 'standby' mode.
I know there's programs out there for PCs for monitors that support it, but
I've never heard of one for the Amiga. Any ideas?
