I would suggest reading the DMI.Conference file that was recently uploaded
to incoming/amiga on ab20 for anyone interested in an informal discussion
that took place with one of the reps from DMI. The recent spate of
high-resolution graphics boards and the enthusiastic response to the SAGE
project amounts to encouraging news.

I just wanted to add a little to this... the DMI CONFERENCE file
originally was a text file of online conference from GEnie. I know that
people distribute the files at will but I would prefer if the people who
originally downloaded it from GEnie would not edit out the GEnie
conference message from it.
In other words we at GEnie do not mind if the conferences get
distributet but please leave the little blurb in there so everyone knows
where it came from.

DMI and Progressive Peripherals are apparently the main contributors to the SAGE
project, which essentially is aiming to provide a standardized system for
accommodating such graphics enhancement cards. While DMI was rather quiet about
the progress of the project, a company representative mentioned that beta
testing was about to begin within the month. As I've mentioned elsewhere
however, it is Commodore that ultimately will decide the course of events.
Things are encouraging however :).
