Stop anti Timothy Rue flame!

I'm browsing (but not posting on) this NG for quite a long time now. And

response to Timothy's posting bears a taste of derision.

Come on, Amigans, be constructive and just let Timothy to express himself.
Remember: people are people. :-)

Bostjan

I have no problem with Tim expressing himself but why does he have to
do it here?   I think is the major gripe, comp.sys.amiga.misc is not
for posting chunks of source code to, nor is it the place to advocate
said source code.  Somebody, anybody,  PLEASE hook him up with the
knowledge needed to set up a VIC group.

Imagine the cool, calm serenity this would leave :)

I do happen to be one of the few that just let him alone - no matter how
desparately he tries to bait us.  But even the most stauch freedom-of-expression
advocate is going to have trouble with a recent csa.misc post header
that reads (in part): ..."Timothy Rue" (1589 lines)
The subject header itself was so long that neither version of Netscape I
have can display it!  Only my AWeb 3.2 newsreader can actually handle the
entire 126 character suject header - and only because I was in 1024*768 mode
at the time.

Sorry, but no matter who upset him, this is a real abuse of csa.misc
and bad netiquette.  As I skip all his posts I have no idea what his
complaint is.  Nor do I care since he seems to post an endless stream
of them.  Regardless, he can at least do so in proper netiquette...joe

I understand you your good intention but I bet you wouldn't shut up if
you, or people/things you care for, were constantly insulted for no
reason whatsoever.

I believe you need to start again from first grade, your spelling
problems are degenerating into reading problems.

If you had asked those people for help, instead of insulting them since
day one, you sick paranoid liar would have got some help. Liar!

Luca, he's a schizo off his medicine again, so what precisely did you
want to see in response?

HINT:  TRue ain't gonna ever admit ANY mistakes, or that he said
ANYTHING inappropriate or incorrect.  With that in mind, any
conversation with him is more or less pointless.  I strongly suggest
just killfile'ing him and moving on.  The attention is what he wants.

This was actually a serious suggestion.  Your 'project' has very
little to do with this newsgroup which is a forum for Amiga related
discussions which do not fall into any of the other comp.sys.amiga.*
stables.  You claim to be using Usenet as, and I quote, a "date time
stamped public recorder".  Why didn't/don't you set up a VIC newsgroup
with a stated agenda and FAQ?

I find your description of Usenet as a "Hostile Environment"
incredibly arrogant.  People usually are hostile when some great
steaming idiot comes crashing in with his huge, boring, irrelevant
posts and refuses to budge, like the spoiled child he is, when asked.

Please takes steps to correct this matter.

Why don't you just killfile him? There's no need to fill the NG with
loads of pointless flames.

1. Stop the Timothy Rue bashing please...

I have noticed that it has become 'in' to mock and provoke Timothy Rue.
During my years in school, it was in to mock me too. I call
those who make fun of people who are different 'bullies', and
I'd appreciate it if the bullies in this newsgroup could stick to
the subject (programming) or shut up.

No one that /means well/ deserves the hate of his/her whole community.
Not even if this person has commited hideous crimes, like
writing off-topic, crossposting or using foul language to foul
people.
