Resolver Workbench

Resolver Workbench

Having just received some information concerning the DMI Resolver, I would
appreciate it if anyone currently using the board would indicate to what extent
the 'Resolver Workbench' can be utilized. According to DMI, this system
facilitates the use of a high resolution Workbench when executed in conjunction
with the Resolver. In particular, Pro Page and PageStream are mentioned as two
programs which may be used with the Resolver Workbench to provide a full page
display at 1280 x 1024 resolution. Does anyone happen to have any further
information?

1. Resolver Workbench (was WB2.1)

Unfortunately, aside from acting as an 8-bit frame buffer, applications which
support increased colour or resolution via the Resolver (or A2410, Rambrandt)
are virtually non-existent. Until an RTG standard is established and
incorporated into the OS, very few programs directly support the hardware.
SAGE is a viable alternative for current TIGA-based boards, but this has not
been embraced by commercial vendors. In the mean time, DMI informs me that
the Resolver Workbench is a 'hack' which transfers chip RAM to Resolver RAM,
making it possible to open screens of greater resolution. Not exactly elegant.
