No,  you were using one of those pathetic IBM clones that just *thinks*
it's an Amiga.

Ahh,  I'm getting it now!  If you or other Clone users respond to flamebait
about your machines,  it's "Having fun in .advocacy,  isn't that what it's for?"
But let an Amiga user respond to flamebait,  it's "idiots following up
obvious flamebait."
   I are smart.

Well, Jason, I would be VERY CAREFUL with statements like that!

I am very tempted to scan and post a picture of you - but I
guess you'll try to tell me that your face is copyrighted!

Creativity as in quoting me as saying things I never said for example? There is a
more specific word for that type of creativity, it's a phenomenon known as a lie.

Aaargh!  Every time someone re-quotes this thread, my terminal program
gives me the dropped-carrier message and makes the disconnect sound (which
is a sampled thunderclap: KA-BOOM!!!, which is disconcerting if you don't
expect it and it's really really quiet in the apartment...)  What's the
odd control code that's buried in this message?

Defensive, aren't we?  Someone ELSE said that you said that, you ninny, and
I believed them (given your ignorance of the PC.)  So you didn't say it - OK.
Relax.

The NO CARRIER - Terminal programs that don't monitor the carrier
detect line to find out when the carrier is really on and off watch
for that string at the start of a new line, and if they see it they
assume that the modem has hung up.  I've never heard of one that would
look for it anywhere but at the start of a line before now.

It *must* be truly pathetic if it wants to think it's an Amiga.

Yea, see what happens when a Pee Sea user touches an Amiga?  They say
Amiga computers have a personality of their own.  I think this proves it.

Either that or Pee Sea users carry some sort of virus with them that
automatically destroys any superior OS.
