====================
Subject: About Autodesk Inventor

Autodesk Inventor has nothing to do with the comp.graphics.api.inventor
newsgroup.  This newsgroup is only about Open Inventor.

Please go to Autodesk support with your questions.

====================
Subject: Where can I find...?

Try starting at the Open Inventor Knowledge Index (http://www.veryComputer.com/)
- you might get there faster that way.  If there's nothing there for you,
you can ask here...

If you know of a useful link that's not in oiki, you are free to update
the pages to include them (they are editable by anyone).  If you're too
lazy to do so (nothing wrong with that), post it here and someone else
might do it for you.

====================
Subject: Doing this and this doesn't work...

You can post your problem report here, but before you do so, remember to
include the information that is essential for other people to be able to
give you answers.

 - Which Open Inventor library are you using?  [TGS | SGI | Coin]
   and which version of the library?

 - Which platform are you using?  [Windows | Unix | Mac OS X]
 - Which compiler are you using?

For problems on building the Open Source Inventor libraries, include at
least the screen output from when the build process fails.  The actual
mailing lists for that particular OI implementation would be a more
appropriate place to ask though.

====================
Subject: Can you stop posting this information?

This posting is an attempt on solving some actual problems.  If the
problems persist nevertheless, I'll obviously stop.  If not, you better
read up on your newsreader and "killfiles" to get rid of it.  Including
this information here would be too comprehensive.

As for now, this posting will be posted twice a month - the first and
six*th.

====================
Subject: Can you add or change some information in the posting?

Sure, if it's appropriate.
