VCD MPEG render

VCD MPEG render

I've got 75 minutes of video that I need to render and get written to 50
VideoCDs by Friday night.

Everything in MSP 6.5 was working fine toward this goal, and I'm now doing
the final render.

But something strange is happening:  normally, MSP opens the little window
with expected render time, elapsed time, time remaining, drive space
anticipated, drive space used, etc., and begins to render, showing the video
as it goes.

For some reason, this time, it's gone off to Hard-drive-spinville...it's
been almost an hour since I kicked it off, the drives are spinning madly,
and there hasn't been a single frame of video displayed, nor was the text
describing the time/space continuum displayed under the (still blank) render
window.

It's positively insane, if you ask me...I'm planning to go to bed and just
cross my fingers and toes all night long that it will have actually done
some REAL video rendering by morning:  by hand, 50 Video CDs are gonna take
about 10 hours of my time--the sooner the VCD file is done, the happier I
will be.

Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

It's 8.5 hours later, and the drive is still spinning, and there's still no
display information.

Mine has done that as well before. I think it is a glitch. Keep restarting
it until you see the image of the video inplace of the black screen. Then
report the bug so that I am not the only one who has.
