Help! Graphics Guru Wanted ...

Post by Robert Della Malv » Tue, 14 Apr 1998 04:00:00

Hi,

I am a Java developer and just started distributing my first applet.

Since I am no graphics specialist, I am looking for a good graphics designer
willing to cooperate for the design of my applets.

To get an idea of the images and icons (gif and jpeg) I am currently using,
please have a look at
http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Palms/9381/index_tree_.html

Every suggestion to improve the design of this applet is strongly welcome.

Thanks.

Robert,

You are seeking a "good graphics designer willing to cooperate for the design
of your applets". Does that mean you are "willing to cooperate" with _payment_
for services rendered? Or are you one of the many sleezy opportunists here that
simply wants someone to "work for free"?

Interesting applet but it has flaws.

Once opened the menu does not properly close
up again and here sems to be no error recovery
method once this flaw becomes exposed.

Get the code right then thnk about tuning the graphics.

You know, I really have to take acception to your tone here. There are
sleezy people in and out of the technical arena.  Sadly, that will
always be.  But you have made an implication here whose truth you
cannot possibly know and then proceeded to take this poster to task
for reasons that may have more to do with your own personal
experiences than some reality that may (or may not) exist with this
individual    You have no such license, Sir (or Madam).  Nor do you
seem to have much sensitivity to the feelings of others.  But if you
happen to have one iota of sensitivity, I think it might be best
served by providing this individual with an apology.  He is certainly
due it from you.

No offense but that was just stupid..its a very nice site and "cooperation"
implies that a parnership would be benifical to all..if you are bitter
because of some past dealings, it definately shows.  This guy has a very
good web page and he sounds like he is just starting out so why don't you
cut him some slack.

Is that the way it's done? My boss wants the graphics first, then he
decides if he's going to write the software.
