Hi

I am making some rather small figures using 'set term pslatex auxfile'.
However, the tic marks are way too long and interfere with my data
points. Is it really true that there is no easy way to control the
length of the tic marks? I know ..... I can simply edit the ps file, but
it would be great if there was some way to set the length of the tic
marks.

No. There's "set ticscale" for exactly that purpose.

I have a real problem. I Am using this script to make a graph:

set encoding iso_8859_1
set term postscript eps enhanced

set arrow 1 from screen 0.55,0.017 to screen 0.65,0.017

g(x)=0.512361*x+0.0945204
plot [0:21] [-11:11] "V09Data08.dat" using 1:(($2+$3)/2) title "Me?werte

The Problem is, that with the ytic-labeling "{/Symbol m}V", gnuplot leaves
space for this whole string, not only for the two characters "mu" und V, so
that the whole plot shifts right, which looks terrible. Does anybody know, how
I can avoid this? My deadline is next week wednesday.
