Getting FIELDS from a non-field sequence

Getting FIELDS from a non-field sequence

Post by Alberto Marcazza » Thu, 29 Apr 1999 04:00:00

Hi folks-

I'd like to know if there's any program that will let me take a sequence
rendered WITHOUT fields and convert it into a sequence WITH fields.
Please post or e-mail me if you have any information.

Thanx.

Getting FIELDS from a non-field sequence

there is no possibility to calculate fields from frames...
the only way is "interpolate" some fake fields.. but i think
it won`t look better... maybe a little bit smoother but the
image quality will decrease......

fields description:

FIELDS don`t take row1 of image.1 and row2 of image.2
it takes row1 of image.1 and row2 of image1.5 .....

hard to explane..... the most simple way is fields using
60 or 50 fields per second....... that means the renderer
uses for a object translation (1 sec for example)

60 steps....

and not like frames
30 steps....

you calculate this inbetween field correct??

Thats impossible..... One way is to use frames with motion
blur.... movies only have 24fps and they are smooth enough
aren`t they?
