1. Derive a MetaNURBS cage from non-MetaNURBS?
Does anybody know of any software that would analyze a triangle mesh and do
a polygon reduction where the result would only use quads?
The reason for my question is there's been several occasions where I've had
fairly high poly triangulated meshes that I've wanted to basically convert
over to MetaNURBS by deriving the polygon cage... but I've never seen
anything to do this other than just re-modeling from scratch, which is what
I'm wanting to avoid...
