Hello..
Can I obtain some information about extracting an object from image just
like the magic wand tool of Adobe Photo Shop.
Any links to a paper or books will also thanks very much.

1. extracting 3-d objects from 3-d mesh
Hi, please respond by e-mail:
I have a 3-d mesh of elements composed of blocks, pyramids, wedges,
and tetrahedrans. The only information I have about the mesh are:
the nodal coordinates,
the line end nodes (indecis), and
the planar plates composing the mesh (i.e., the
triangles and quadrilaterals composing the sides of the 3-D objects).
I want to be able to 'recognize' the 3-D objects mentioned above from
the geometric information I have. This seems to me very similar to
'feature recognition' which is mostly solved with graph matching
algorithms. Before I reinvent the wheel, I would appreciate any information
(algorithms, pseudo code, programs, ftp sites, technical papers, books,
etc.) which I may use to solve the problem.
