1. B5 screws Foundation

Foundation Imaging will no longer be doing the CGI effects for B5,
starting at some point during this season.  Netter Digital Entertainment,
Inc., a publicly held corporation that was previously Rattlesnake
Productions, will be doing the effects.

NDE, Inc., formerly Rattlesnake is run by Douglas Netter and John
Copeland, Executive Producer and Producer of B5.  Netter is also
Straczynski's partner in Babylonian Productions.

So apparently one hand is washing the other, at the expense of Foundation.
See what winning an Emmy will do for you?  I guess their work wasn't good
enough.  How cheap does an episode of B5 have to be?

But it gets better.  This week, a rather mediocre animator I know received
a rather urgent E-Mail and Phone Message from a salesperson at Intergraph.
Seems he'd just sold $200K of animation equipment to "a company in North
Hollywood who's shows included Babylon 5".  They needed animators
desperately for *4* upcoming episodes of a TV program.

Nice way to treat a company that helped make your show possible.  JMS
would still be doing "Murder, She Wrote" episodes without Foundation.

On the good side, at least the effects will be on the same level as the
plots and acting now.
