I think that perhaps you may have your signals crossed. Digital Studio has
many features that the trinity box doesn't. Take for instance the compositor.
It had more tools than eddie has and allows you to go back and forth
between all the modules including the paint module which gives photoshop a run
for it's money. In the trinity box, you have to buy the upgrade to non linear
editing, which they neglected to put a price tag on. And no audio editing
tools. Yes trinity can mix incoming audio with video but it cannot isolate it
and tear it appart and place it back in the time line. But don't get me wrong,
the trinity box is a good deal. It will make the PC a staple of middle end
production and post production, much like the toaster did for the Amiga (gee,
same people, sort of ).
I wrote this response not as a my software/hardware is better than yours,
but to point out that there is a difference between the two. Also, take into
consideration that the trinity was supposed to be finished a year ago. Not to
mention that this is the first time the hardware is being shown off. So don't
hold your breath, even thought they have put a price tag on the hardware
doesn't mean that it is ready for public consumption. Anything too good to be
true, generaly is.
