Very Computer

Just curious,  I am thinking of spec-ing out a 320 w/dual PIII 450's,
512 M RAM, decent drive set up etc for purchase.  Has anyone compared
other machines with similar setups?

take a look at a pc with a 3d labs Gvx1 card as it's at least as good open
gl wise as the
sgi 320 according to recent tests.
having said that i was mighty impressed with the sgi 320 and have made no
firm choice
as yet to my next pc.

http://www.lumis3d.com/tests/reviews/320/   The Intergraph Wildcat seems to
be a better 3D machine.

If you are getting any more than 128 MB of RAM, the 320 gets too expensive.
Try getting a less proprietary computer so you can expand it inexpensively.
