How to catalog and store pictures on CD's - without buying any new software

Create a folder called "CD Picture Catalog" (for instance).

Create a sub-folder with a sensible name. This folder will hold the
thumbnails of the pictures which you will store on 1 CD.

Create another temporary folder with the same name (almost).
E.g. - "Hanging Gardens" and "Hanging Gardens - CD"

Move pictures to the "Hanging Gardens - CD" folder and/or sub-folders
until the folder holds close to 650 mb.
Burn a CD using this folder and give the CD the name "Hanging
Gardens".

Create thumbnails in the "Hanging Gardens"  folder and/or sub-folders,
to mirror what is on the CD.

Delete the "Hanging Gardens - CD" folder.

Browse the thumbnail folders with your current software, or get a
shareware or freeware thumbnail browser, and when you find a picture
you will immediately know what CD the original is on and what folder
it is in.
