Apparently 16-bit .BMP files are very uncommon -- I can't find any
software that knows what to do with it. Or at least, I can -- MS
Paintbrush will only load it on systems with 16-bit color cards on them,
and I have only 8-bit color on my SVGA card. Alchemy image works gives
an error that 16-bit is an unrecognized type, paintbrush gives a memory
error, Graphics Workshop complains, etc.
Does anyone know of any free/shareware software on the net that can do
the conversion to a 24-bit bmp (or gif or whatever) or someone who would
be willing to convert if I sent them the images by email?
Thanks..
