I just wrote my first really complex (well, it is to me!) scene for pov
3.0 which I will post in case anyone can help me with these questions I
have about it. First of all, for the sand in the hourglass, how do i make
it look like real sand? It looks like a cone of brown *(which it is)
and no matter what I do with crand it still looks smooth. Also, all of
the wood grain in my WoodThingys tends to go in the -z/z direction, even
after I've rotated it! It looks pretty, well, weird. Lastly, my tiles
seem to be separated unlike the tiles in the file WHILTILE.POV which comes
with POV 3.0beta. Can anyone help me? Sorry, but you will have to
raytrace it yourself (on those pentiums or suns it shouldn't take
long...c'mon, I have a 486/33!) because my I quite frankly can not upload
it with my 2400 bps modem... Also, does anyone know where I can get a
bump map/image map for the earth so I can make a realistic globe? Thanks
