Cambridge Workstation Mouse

Anyone know how to test the ACW's mouse? I've got one that is probably
the right kind (looks like an Archimedes mouse, has P8 Prototype written
on the base, correct 9-pin connector and originally came with an ACW I/0
Board). Edit doesn't work on my ACW.

*mouse works in both BBC and 32016 modes. No idea how to check, if there
is an adval call I can use or something. Nothing happens in the Basic
editor in Basic IV if I move the mouse.

Any ideas?

Richard (now with talking ACW!).

Do you have a copy of BBC Basic for the machine? Does it have a
'MOUSE' statement? If not, then at a guess I think you will find
that the mouse is handled by OSWORD 21. This is the call used in
RISC OS, but the fact that it is an OSWORD call rather than
anything sensible suggests to me that it originated on the BBC
Micro. I think there is a good chance that the Cambridge
Workstation uses the same OS call. You should be able to write
something in BBC Basic to check it.

Was it ADVAL 7 and ADVAL 8 (horizontal and vertical).  I could be wrong...

1. Acorn Cambridge Workstation resources

I'm working on a page for my rare drum machine, AHB Inpulse One, and as
I also have an ACW, I'm going to put a second page up to cover the ACW
and 32016 Second CPU.

This is more a case of making space available for those that wants it -
I'll also link to other sites. I've done old computer pages before (my
Apple page will be online soon again, originally done in 1995) and
collected machines, but I think the ACW has less information than
anything else I've owned.

I need stuff myself - manuals, spares and PANOS/Application disks. (I
now have images, but originals would be nice!).
