WTB: Dot matrix printer - HELP!

Post by Simon Joh » Thu, 01 Feb 2001 19:34:34

I need a new dot matrix printer delivered tomorrow - does anyone know where I
can get one?

I need it for multi-part tractor-fed stationery and labels and preferably a
24-pin'ner.

At this point I don't care about the cost - jees they cost ~300ukp these days
anyway - I wish I'd bought a shedload when they used to cost ~30ukp! ;o)

It's not for a RISC OS machine, but I need NT4 and Win98 drivers.

TIA,

A desperate man! ;o)

Try Oki printers they make superb Dot-matrix printers, very robust and
reliable.

Yeah, but their LED printers are terrible.

I got a Epson FX-880 in the end - I needed it delivered the next morning so
had to pay almost 300ukp, whereas if I could wait until Monday, I could have
got it for about 100ukp less! :-(

I need someone really bad.  Are you really bad?

1. FS: Canon dot-matrix printer

Canon PW-1080A dot-matrix printer, in excellent condition and complete with
manual, spare ribbon and mains lead, (you'll have to supply your own data
cable).

No reasonable offer refused, as they say! It would be a shame to scrap it.

Carriage at cost - probably about 7.
