Why does it doe that?

HGow does it determin what is unsafe.

It even does that when I send spreedsheets from my office
to my home pc.

I am looking for insight, help and how to lower the
security a little so that I can get some attachments.

In outlook, go to  "TOOL" "OPTION" ""SECURITY"
under "VIRUS PROTECTION" uncheck "do not allow attachment
to be saved or open that could potentially be a virus""

This should solve your problem.
