Is there a hack to remove the icons for the built in applications?  I
don't use Mail (I'm using MultiMail instead) or Expense (can't edit the
"type" field), and the icons are really starting to get on my nerves.

Thanks,
Jim Hanson

if you use launchpad (has new name?), just create new tab and drag "useless"
icons into it.  perhaps you can adjust tab width as well, and/or use short
title.

I use Launch Pad, and create a folder labeled 'junk'.  Then just drag
the stuff you never want to see again into this folder.

Couldn't you set up LaunchPad with a group for the built-in stuff, and
then ignore that group?

You could try to use PAL, you have to
add the apps by yourself, so you just
need not to choose Mail to add to the
program list.

I use AppMan, the tabs have approx. the size the word needs as long as
there is enoght space. I just have this really small one letter tab for
those icons :-)
