Can the Palm on Mac sync with Now Up To Date? If so, how do I
accomplish this? Thanks!

The only way was with Now Sync, which worked <sometimes>. After using NUD
since it came out, I was forced to switch to Consultant, which works
great, but whose interface is a little on the cluttered side. However, it
does work, and Now Sync for Pilot (if you can even still find it) was
never stable, and now that Now sold out to Qualcomm, is a dead project.

I've never been able to get Now Sync to work -- not once!   It seems to
start and just hangs...  I can sometimes try to cancel and maybe five or
ten minutes later it does, and sometimes I have to reboot my mac.

I'm trying Consultant to see if it will work and if it's better than the
Claris Organizer included with MacPac.   So far, I've found Consultant to:

a. Not have any reasonable repeating events.  I need things like "repeat
the 3rd Tuesday of each month" and they don't have it.

b. No export capability -- again, I need that as I maintain some web
calendars and would need to modify Perl scripts to convert them...  This
may be active once you register, but I'm not going to pay for something if
I don't know if it'll work for me.

c. The second time I synced, it somehow put TWO of everything into my
calendar on the Palm.

So...

I love Now up to date and Now Contact, but they are slowly dying...  I'm
looking for something to replace them to make my Palm useful.   Haven't
found it yet, so my Palm is a read-only calendar / address-book which is
FAR from useful!

1. Aggravating hang-ups during Mac G3 to PilotPro sync

I had a Power Mac 6100/66, and never had a problem.
But I've spent the better part of the night trying to get my new Mac G3 to
sync with my Pilot using Now Sync for my Now Contacts & Up To Date databases.

It goes through the motions, gets to the "Updating contacts" window, spins
its wheels a while and then I get a message that the connection was lost--
every single time.

I've tried booting without extensions, increasing the conduit program
memory, lower connect speeds...

Anyone have any idea?
