STM 'expansion cards?'

STM 'expansion cards?'

Post by Kenneth Mitt » Thu, 30 Jun 1994 11:04:26

I was poking around STM with ResEdit, and I saw three icl8s: the application
icon, the disk icon, and one other thing that can only be an Apple 2 expansion
card. Does this mean you can write 'expansion card images', like a serial card?
Does anyone have any info on this?

As far as I know, that was part of the original "wish-list" for STM.  No new
(released anyway) progress has been made on STM for quite a while; from what
I gather, Kevin has taken a break from STM in favor of his research.  Anyway,
the point is that those icons were probably designed while he was working on
the idea, but it is not implemented in 8.51r.

I think the hoped-for plan was to have a folder in which you could drop these
expansion card files that STM would load up when executed.  Maybe it will
happen someday..
