Help with Super Serial Card DIP Switch Settings Needed

Post by Wayne Clif » Thu, 23 Mar 1995 06:25:03

Hello,

I recently acquired a Super Serial Card II for my Apple IIe, but
it didn't have any documentation (or software, for that matter).

With a little determination and a lot of blind luck, I figured
out that the card was operating at 1200 baud with 7 data bits.
I was able to redirect the screen to the output port and pick
up the output in my PC terminal program.

But the Card has a set of 16 dip switchs (two sets of 8) that I
assume control the configuration of the serial output, and I
would like to know how to re-configure the card.

Does anyone know what the specification for the switchs is or
where I could find a reference manual for this card?  What is
the best source for some kind of Apple IIe Terminal Program?

Thanks in advance for any help,

Wayne Clift

Don't worry, the last version of the documentation wasn't very useful and
there was never any software supplied with the card.

1. Super Serial Card DIP switch settings

Does anyone have the correct DIP switch settings (both banks) for use with a
2400 baud Hayes Compatible modem?  Our school has the card, and are trying to
hook up both a modem and a printer to the same card with a switchbox.  Is
this possible, or do the DIP switches have to be changed each time you want
to switch devices?  They don't have a manual for the SSC.  Typical of a
school...  Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris
