1. Opinons sought on best webserver/servlet container: NT/IIS/JRun or Linux/Apache/Tomcat?

Folks,

I have been asked to evaluate and recommend a web server and servlet
technology for serving an airline boking system. The airline is small
and currently volumes are low - most booking is done over the
telephone via the reservations desk. Obviously they are hoping to
increase traffic, and possibly in the future a web server cluster will
be required.

The two candidates are:

JRun 3.1 Enterprise with IIS on NT 4.0 server
Tomcat 4.0.2 with Apache 1.3.23 on RedHat Linux 7.2.

Both will connect to an Oracle 8i database via JDBC.

The short term requirement is serve JSPs and while in the longer term
EJB's might be required. The in-house preference is for the JRun based
solution, primarily because they have a few existing servlets running
under JRun 3.0 and are familiar with administering it.

Does anyone have any opinions on the best solution?
The main criteria are reliability and scalablity and ease of
administration.
Cost is not really an issue.

My initial reading suggest that there may be problems with JRun's
database connection pooling and EJB support

Can anyone confirm if there any JRun problems, particularly with the
connection pooling?
