Does anyone know if windows 2000 professional is able to
forward packets to another network ?

i have a windows 2000 pro pc connected to two networks
   i) Fast ethernet domain network
  ii) unix based 10base2 network
also there is 1 other windows 2000 pro pc which is just
connected to the fast ethernet network, i know you can do
it in windows nt workstation 4.0 but can you do it in
windows 2000 professional ?

Yes, you have to edit the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Tcpip\Parameters

        Change 'IPEnableRouter' to 1
