I changed my adapter driver to the latest drivers for the
radeon...using a sony cdp g400 for a display. win2k sp2...
now my refresh rate is stuck on 60hz... suxs..
my monitor info says g400 and my adapter says 7200/radeon..
i have full control over colors (up to 32bit) and screen
resolution (using 1024x768).. refresh rate stuck at 60..
anyone got an idea?

If the problem persists after re-installing the drivers for the
radeon card, downgrade back to the older drivers. Also check their
website for newer drivers. Your Sony G400 should be refreshing at
85hz not 60hz.

Take a look at:

For Q3, I added r_displayrefresh "85" to my baseq3\q3config.cfg file. Be
careful though, I believe that it will try to force this refresh rate at all
resolutions, even if you're monitor doesn't support it.
