windows update notification

Hi

How do I ERASE all efforts by w2k to make me update the OS?  I have turned
the scheduled update thingy OFF but I guess some sort of update service
resides in "services". Which one is it? Can it be turned off?

I don't want to get reminded of updates every day... if I don't do the
particular update i keeps reminding and reminding and reminding and
reminding....  very irritating.

TIA /  Jonas

Its not a service, but a scheduled task, if you don't use it, you could turn
off the shedule service, but this seems like overkill, I've got Windows
Critical Update in add/remove.
