Just booted up this monring and found that this driver under the
Device Manager has an exclamation mark next to it. Number 1 I am not
even on a WAN so why is this installed in the first place. Number 2 I
certainly did not install it. Anyone have any ideas? The only
communication device I have is a USR 56K Modem.

Next time, before you say WTF, you may want to read the manual first :-)

You could have easily find it if you do a simple search on RAS/network on MS
site or any other Info site...

Please refer to the following link...

BTW... WAN miniport is for you Dialup networking.
