Messenger service and Terminal Services via VPN

Off the wall question, but.....

We have clients that communicate with Yahoo Messenger. When they establish a
VPN connection tot he server, they can still access the internet ok on their
local machine, but Yahoo Messenger will not function anymore.

Anybody have any ideas to this one??? Have tried all the different
connection settings in Messenger already.

Thanks,
-David

That's because they are using the gateway on the VPN network. Uncheck the
use gateway on remote network or allow the traffic to pass through the VPN.

1. problem: debugging a service while logged in via terminal services client

host pc: win2k advanced server
client pc: tried it on win98/win2kpro/win2kadvsvr

When i attach dev studio to a service, dev studio starts up and then
displays a "cannot execute program" popup.
I can attach to the program fine if I run it from the command shell.

I've tried changing the service's login properties to logon under my
account instead of SYSTEM.

I've tried with terminal services configured in app mode and remote
admin mode.

I've added the terminal-services-user and my login to the terminal
services rdp-tcp properties->permissions list

It's not just my config since coworkers are having the same problem.

Is anybody else out there having this problem or not having this
problem?

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Brett
