Directory Synchronization

I've installed the Microsoft Directory Synchronization Services (MSDSS)
connector on one of our domain controllers. This is to synchronize Novell's
NDS with Microsoft's Active Director.

I choose the "two way synchronization" option, enter the AD container,
domain controller. Enter the NDS container. Enter the Novell adminstrator
user name and password. Then I get this message:

Windows cannot authenticate to NDS://Tree_Name/O=Context_Name with the
supplied credentials: The network path was not found.

I am entering the Novell server supervisor user name and password. I've
also tried the domain admin user name and password with no success. Any
ideas? Thanks.

Can you connect to it otherwise?
Assuming you installed the Client/Gateway Services on W2k, does the Tree
show up when you look in there?

I can browse Network neighborhood and get to the tree and context. Novell
Client v.4.83 is installed on the DC.

Kill Client32 and try it again.

How do I kill client32? I don't see "client32" running as a process.

1. Win2k3 Active directory synchronization

I am looking at upgrading our NT4.0 domain to Windows
2003 actice directory, however our NT4.0 domain uses
Netware Services for NT which synchronizes usernames and
password between the two. This has worked fine for the
time that we have used it.

Since Active directory is another LDAP directory services
what is the recommended way of running the two directory
services side by side and synchronizing users and
passwords. I've heard of MMS but was told it won't work
with Netware and Novell have DirXML but have heard this
hasn't proved reliable.

What can I do. As much as I would like to merge into one
Directory Service being Active Directory I have to find
away to accomodate the two directory services.
