I'm having a strange problem that just began within the last couple of
weeks. When I open Windows Explorer and attempt to utilize the "Copy to:"
button or menu option, on clicking OK to copy the file into the selected
folder, I immediately receive an error message that "Explorer.exe has
generated errors and will now close. An error log will be created."
However, if I do a manual copy and paste of any file, I have no problem.
Also, if I open the Explorer.exe file in Windows 2000 WinNT folder, I have
no problem using "Copy to:".
My machine is a P III 933 Mhz, 512 MB of RAM, running on a Tyan Trinity 400
motherboard. Other than this wierd glitch, (which never happened
previously), Win2K runs like a dream and is very stable.
Would anyone have any clues why I can manually copy and paste file, yet
Explorer crashes if I attempt to utilize "Copy to:"????
