I'm trying to help out a small rural Library that just got
a Windows 2000 Server. It's running at least SP2, maybe 3.
I'm trying to set up a scheduled backup routine for them
to backup Mon-Thur and Sat. at 9:30 PM. Problem is
whenever a tape is used on the second iteration, the
backup returns a 0x2d error.
I set up 5 individual backup routines & scheduled on the
needed days. I tested the 'tuesday' backup yesterday
afternoon by changing the time to 9:30pm. The backup went
off without a hitch. HOWEVER, when 9:30 really clicked
off, it wouldn't backup & returned that 0x2d error.
Is there some way to make a simple backup under Win2000?
I did the file selection, I named the media (different day
for different tape) gave the jobs their names to
correspond to the day of the week, and then I added them
to the Scheduler. But they only work once.
Am I missing anything? Is there a "erase media before
backup" option that I'm missing?
Anyone have a simple step by step procedure I can use?
help?
TIA, big time.
