CPU pegged at 100% while printing

CPU pegged at 100% while printing

Post by Ryan Lamber » Sat, 26 Apr 2003 07:35:46

HP Deskjet 722C, LPT1

Every time I print, the machine's CPU is pegged at 100%
until the job finishes. I have seen discussions about
this, but never found a resolution.

Any advice is appreciated.

I take that back. LPT to USB is a resolution.

But, does anyone know of another way?

1. AD Users and Computers pegs CPU at 100%

When I click on the Active Directory Users and Computers link my CPU usage
jumps to a solid 100% and it will not open the console. I see the mmc.exe
process at 99 on the CPU. Sometime it will eventually open and then the CPU
% drops.

If I launch mmc.exe on it's own and add the snap in for Users and Computers
it works fine.

Any idea how to fix this or why it is doing this??

Thanks,
