Hi

Help I just added a second 20gb drive to my system running Win2000
and Under disk admin it only shows an 8gb drive.

David,

first guess is that the BIOS is obsolete. Can you update it?

Is it an IDE disk?

The Bios sees it fine, also I have had 98 and ME and they both see it
no problem.

It was partitioned and formated FAT 32. Do I have to use NTFS

Yes it is a Maxtor Drive. Is the update on there site.

Received wisdom I'm afraid, I heard about it in these groups, but haven't
needed it myself (IBM HDDs rule!).

Not for me (IBM)...

Too many problems with stiction(sp?) and track 0.
