and Under disk admin it only shows an 8gb drive.

first guess is that the BIOS is obsolete. Can you update it?
Is it an IDE disk?

Too many problems with stiction(sp?) and track 0.

1. 27GB MAXTOR seen as 8GB in WIN 2000
2. DHCP in NT 4.0 Domain and W2K domain.
3. Books Online for Bands, Musicians, Producers etc.
4. Maxtor 27GB seen as 8GB by WIN 2000
5. Bug? (1.9.15p8 Sun IPX/Sun-OS 4.3/Solaris 1.1)
7. Win98se 2nd logon to Win2000 srvr won't connect
8. Win2000 Adv. Server can't recongise 8GB RAM.
9. 2nd W2K Pro box can't see or be seen by rest of network
10. Win2000 bootable CD Setup only recognizing 8GB of 27GB drive
11. Intermittent problem - Won't recognize 2nd hard drive
