Need to completely disable security on ADS

Need to completely disable security on ADS

Post by Darryl C Pric » Fri, 20 Oct 2000 15:19:55

Greetings,

Does anyone know how to make the ENTIRE directory readable to anonymously
bound clients.  I want to disable all protection and security for testing
and application development and don't want to have to deal with security
issues right now.  There is no sensitive data in the directory so security
is a hindrance.

Make all your users members of the "Domain Admins" group... :)

Not recommended for regular usage though....

a safer approach is to grant READ access to the EVERYONE group as the root
of the each tree in the Forest, this will propagate to all objects in the
tree.

1. lsasrv security package is disabled and AD is down

Dear all,
I encountered one very serious problem need your help: one
of my production server running Wndows 2000 ADV act as
active directory domain controller for few weeks suddenly
cannot authenticate the system login for my applications
with the following errors in system event log:

Source: LsaSrv
Catagory: Devices
Type: Error
Event ID: 5000

Decription:
The security package Negotiate generated an exception.
The package is now disabled.

After reboot it works fine but it happened again after 2-3
weeks.

I searched through Microsoft site couldn't find any clues
for it.

Appreciate greatly for your help !!!!

best best regards.
