Very Computer

Hello,

I was recently looking around how to convert 2 SUN 3/60 into X-terminals and
stumbled across the NetBSD FTP-Servers. I found this binary snapshot for
replacing SunOS with NetBSD and installed it. Up to this point everything was
fine. Now I was unpacking the 3 tarfiles containing the X-stuff and got them
installed in place. But when I try to start the Xserver either with xinit,
startx I get the following error message:

Fatal server error:
no screens found

Now I've realized, that there's no XConfig file provided with the package and I
also lack of the devices bwtwo etc.

If i try to start the X-server directly, it simply core dumps with a bus error.

Any help on this problem would be appreciated a lot.

NetBSD/sun3 is good, but if all you want is an Xterminal, you _might_
want to think about the Xkernel stuff...

XF86Config is for the i386 world.  You probably just need to create the
devices in /dev:
# cd /dev
# ./MAKEDEV bwtwo0

The 'fb' (frambuffer) device should already be there, but add ' fb' to
the above if it isn't.

I don't have NetBSD/sun3 & X running right now, but I know it works on a
color 3/60. YMMV
