I haven't seen anyone ask this here for a while.

How is the progress on the sun4m version of netbsd?

NetBSD-current and the forthcoming NetBSD-1.2 have some Sun4m support.
They support the Classic, LX, SS10, and SS20 (single-processor mode
only). SS5 support will be added hopefully within the next month or
so (as soon as I get around to it).

According to a recent message on port-sparc, NetBSD-current/sparc (and
1.2 when it is released) runs on 4/15s, 4/30s, (most) S10s and S20s, but
not quite on S4/S5s yet, due to "cache peculiarities". No 4/600 support
or SMP support (yet). Framebuffer support is still somewhat patchy, I
think.
