i'm trying to compile top (3.3beta6) on NetBSD/1.0 (intel) but it
can't find the include files <sys/kinfo.h> and
<sys/kinfo_proc.h>. I've checked for them in the NetBSD/current
sources, but to no avail.
The really strange thing is, the man page for kvm_getporcs mentions
these two include files. So, obviously, they should exist. Where can
I get them?
thanks,

Go to your favorite ftp-Server, into the directory
.../FreeBSD-current/ports/utils/top, fetch the file machine.c, and use
that (it's for top3.2 with FreeBSD2.0) as a replacement.
If You still have trouble, there are three #define'd options right at
the beginnig of that file. Comment them out (or find out, why they don't
work).
This did it for me just yesterday with NetBSD/1.0/i386. Top runs, only
the memory statistics are unintellegible (i dont have 525632K Ram or
Swap...). Someday one has to compare the sources - pstat gives sensemaking
output, so this should be repairable...

1. include files <sys/ipc.h> and <sys/shm.h>
Hello,
I'm in the process of getting linux up and going and have just
installed the SLS distrabution (from sunsite). Anyways I have downloaded
the latest dosemu0.49 and am trying to compile it. Unfortunately it
expects two files: <sys/ipc.h> and <sys/shm.h>, where can I get these and
any other misc include files that I may need? (They were not obviously
located at sunsite).
Also I have X running with a microsoft 2 button mouse, how do I
emulate the thrid button?

PS. LINUX is much more reliable than i'd hoped :)
