Trying to find a Mac disk partitioner

Post by Henry Wa » Fri, 24 May 1996 04:00:00

Hi all,

I'm trying to but netBSD on a MacIIsi, but I have been unable
to find a hard disk partioner.

I haven't found a 68k version of HD SC.  The docs suggest
A/UX's APS273.sit.hqx, but archie and my web search engines
turn up only dead links.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Henry Ware

Try
   ftp.sra.co.jp /pub/os/NetBSD/*
or
   ftp.eos.hokudai.ac.jp /pub/mac/*

1. Trying to find MAC address

I am using RH 6.1 on 2 computers and was trying to find out the MAC
address of the computers.   I entered arp -a and arpwatch -f and was
given the error command not found.
Found arp and arpwatch in /usr/sbin and /sbin was not able to run the
commands unless they were proceeded with ./ .  Do I have my shell or
something incorrect?

And shouldn't I be able to find out the MAC addresses of my computers on
this network using this command?  Is there another way to find out the
MAC addresses. of computers besides opening up and pulling out the NIC
card.
I just looked at the file I dumped and there was only 2 of 8 from the
network.  Is there a command to directly interrogate a NIC card.

Thanks
Philip.
