I have uploaded the binary for the latest beta release of Rlab to
sunsite.unc.edu. The location is /pub/Linux/Incoming/rlab-0.75.tar.z .
If it's not there, try the directory /pub/Linux/apps/math .
Rlab is a "MATLAB-like" matrix-oriented programming language/toolbox for
numerical computation. It comes with many builtin functions and extensive
use has been made of the LAPACK, FFTPACK and RANLIB sources available from
Rlab, however, is not a Matlab clone (unlike Octave, which is also
available at sunsite). But it is pretty fast, especially FOR loops which are a
lot faster than Matlab-386 running under dos. Also, the programming language
posseses similar operators and concepts as Matlab. So if you're familiar with
Matlab/Xmath/Octave, you'll have no problems with Rlab.
The binary has been compiled using gcc 2.3.3 and libc 4.3.3 . If you want the
full source code, it is available at evans.ee.adfa.oz.au in /pub/alpha/RLaB.
