we are looking for some information regarding the AMD Local Area
Network Controller for Ethernet (LANCE). We want to use the
multicast capabilities of the LANCE from within SunOS 4.2.1
without interfering with the UNIX networking drivers. Are there
any (undocumented?) hooks in SunOS that support multicast
programming or is there another way to implement a multicast in
SunOS 4.2.1 efficiently? Any help, advice, hints, references,
or sources are very welcome.
