OS support for SMP- basic question

OS support for SMP- basic question

Post by Pirab » Tue, 26 Feb 2002 11:41:06

I was checking out basic OS support for SMP systems.I have a few
questions related to that.
1. The OS executes as separate threads on each of the processors right
? So does that mean that only the kernel stack is different for each
of the instances? I want to know what exactly is shared and what is
not.
