The problem I have is as follows:
I have contracted with a company EconoMux for a link over their lines.
I want to dial up their Server (local) in Montreal
and I want to link that Dialup with a port on my Unix system (Toronto).
I have A Uugetty on the port, I can dial in locally (Toronto) everything
works fine. I can use CU to dial the local(Toronto) EconoMux server and I
can even see everything that is being typed in Montreal but for some reason
CU does not respond to the commands in Montreal Does anyone Know how to
instruct Uugetty to dial and then send a login?
Pleas respond by email as the problem is rather pressing

1. uugetty problem

  I have been losing hair over this problem, I have tracked the
problem as far as getty_ps (i have the 2.0.7e version) not finding
any process owning the lock files it makes. Debug output sample:

Why it worked once is very strange.
