DEC Unix Enhanced Security NIS Integration with Linux

Post by Aron Vrtal » Sat, 14 Nov 1998 04:00:00

Hi,

is it possible to integrate a NIS Server running under Digital Unix with
enhanced security with Linux clients ? We've got a DU 4.0B (TruCluster)
server
and have to integrate Linux RedHat 5.1 Alpha's.

Any help is highly appreciated.

1. enhanced security on for DEC 4.x

Hi,
I have very little experience in UNIX Systems Admin but lately have been
involved in installing DEC 4.something on an Alpha.  During the install we
neglected to include the software sets for enhanced security.  Can we reload
the appropriate sets from the CD and do we need to rebuild the kernel?  Are
enhanced security and C2 security synonymous?
    Thanks for any help.
