Hello,

Yes there is a way: you can find an update for either ARC or SRM bios on
a site from which I do not know the name. But, I know how to get there.
Go to www.request.nl, hit 'links' and it brings you to a site where you
can download 'fwaxppciv436.zip'.
Unzipped it shows you instructions how to do this.
By the way may I assume that you have a AXPci33 board?
I have one and experience a problem when booting with Milo.dd of RH6.0.
The system says after some time: 'trying to use reserved DEC opcode' and
stops, falling back into the NT-monitor and that's it.
How did you install your Linux on the AXPci33?
Bye.

I don't kown exactly about your system.
But you will find firmware change option in ARC menu.
I guess you need to go supplimentay menu.
But if your system has only one flash rom for each bios console, you need to
download the firmware update file fron DEC, or Compaq. And update it to SRM
mode.
It will require power cycle. When you re-boot, you can see SRM prompt, >>> .
