I've recently installed RedHat 6.2 beta on my machine (avanti) and I
am having problems with mpg123:
High Performance MPEG 1.0/2.0/2.5 Audio Player for Layer 1, 2 and 3.Quote:>./mpg123 /usr/local/MP3/einleitung.mpg
Version 0.59r (1999/Jun/15). Written and copyrights by Michael Hipp.
Uses code from various people. See 'README' for more!

Directory: /usr/local/MP3/
Playing MPEG stream from einleitung.mpg ...
MPEG 1.0 layer III, 128 kbit/s, 44100 Hz stereo
mpg123: Can't rewind stream by 31 bits!
mpg123: Can't rewind stream by 8 bits!
mpg123: Can't rewind stream by 32 bits!
mpg123: Can't rewind stream by 11 bits!
and so on...
There is output from the sound card but it's really crippled. I've
also tried to recompile the sources, but I get the same results :-(
I haven't had the time to study what's wrong but I would appreciate
any suggestions. It worked just fine on the same hardware with Debian
Slink.
TIA,
