Very Computer

  I've been having some wierd lockups with the netscape rpm that compaq
released for linux alpha. I'm running a pc164 with two tulip cards in it,
with pppoe. Every once in awhile, I'll crank up netscape and look at a
site only to have my machine lock up amazingly tight. Has anyone seen this
before?

According to some posting on this NG, people have seen many
Netscape-related problems on the Alpha. I don't have the "official"
netscape (except for the i386 binary on the RH6.1 CD -- grr! Why why
why?; really, this is an _ALPHA_ distribution!! What are we supposed to
do, run it in emulation? D**ned if I'm going to! No thanks to you, RH!!!
Grrr!!!) but I do have a local-compiled Mozilla M13 (there was an alpha
binary of M12 but none later unless they've recently added one) and it
does crash (but at least the rest of the system remains intact.)

BTW, Lynx-SSL _rules!!!_ I would also love to see an xlynx!
