I recently discovered some "strange happenings" with term.... I'd been
trying (unsuccesfully) to get term118 to work. Actually, the problem was

correctly. Txconn kept giving me a "XIO: Fatal error IO broken pipe (or
something like that) message right after I would invoke xhost + on the
When I tried using term114, everything worked just fine...
As far as tredir is concerned, I was trying to do something like:
tredir 9999 23
then, when I tried something like :
telnet remote.host 9999
I would just get a connection refused (or closed???) message. Switching
back to term114 fixed this problem also. WHAT'S GOING ON????
Amy clues, hints, suggestions, or comments would be appreciated (I know
for a fact that I'm not the only one with these problems). Thanks in advance,
P.S.: I'm using Slackware 1.2.0.
